How much coffee is too much coffee?
More than two cups. That, at least, is the conclusion of a study conducted at Penn State University, in which 45 young men were given either 200 mg of caffeine (equivalent to one to two cups of coffee) or 400 mg of caffeine (three to four cups of coffee). All of the men were then given a test in which they were pressured to count backwards (quickly) from four-digit numbers by sevens and thirteens. The subjects’ performance improved with the smaller 200 mg dose of caffeine (compared to no caffeine), but decreased when the amount of caffeine was doubled. Reporting on the study, the New York Times tell us that researchers found that the levels of the enzyme, alpha amylase, rose during the experiment, suggesting that when people drink caffeine
while under stress, their bodies may be experiencing a small-scale
flight-or-fight response. Over the long term, the researchers feared, this can lead to health
problems.

The Japanese over-caffeinate all the time and do just fine. But their drinking tea (green), not the heroin-addiction Dunkin’ Donuts crap.
I recently adore the “heroin addition Dunkin Donuts crap” and drink about 4 cups a day of some kind of coffee but always caffinated. Don’t remember the last time I was sick. And yes, my memory is fine. Green tea sucks.

gets me too bouncy on my stressful job.
