Think your gym is crowded? This piece in the L.A Times reports that what should be a time to destress is often a time to restress, as exercise classes fill to capacity and beyond in popular L.A. health clubs. Newcomers to such classes are welcomed, writer Jeannine Stein warns, but they should know the etiquette: Newbies go in the back and don’t venture forward until they’ve been there a while. Stein says some clubs, such as the 24 Hour chain and Bally Total Fitness gyms, are solving the problem by allowing members to reserve a space in popular classes for a dollar or two. What would you do? Pay the price? Or find another club? Post a comment and let us know.
