Red Wine Drinkers Less Likely to Have Cataracts

It’s possible that Iceland is not the most likely place to conduct a study of the health benefits of red wine, but Geezer is not one to quibble with the methodology of scientific endeavor, particularly when the results are so agreeable. The Wine Spectator (no comment) reports that a five-year Icelandic study involving more than 800 people found that moderate drinkers of red wine had a lower incidence of cataracts, when compared to nondrinkers and to people who drank beer or spirits. The researchers found that more than 32 percent of nondrinkers developed
some form of cataracts, while cataracts occurred in 23 percent of beer
drinkers, 19 percent of spirit drinkers and 13 percent of red wine

  1. Why wine! can’t a person live without having two or three packs a day? i still can’t able to forget those moments which i spent with my wife.
