What’s the ideal time to wait between eating and working out? Chris Carmichael, the fitness answer man for Outside magazine, makes that one sound easy: It depends on what you eat and on how much of it you eat. For a morning workout, Carmichael says, a high carbohydrate breakfast, such as a bagel or oatmeal with raisins, provides a comfortable foundation. But, the answer man warns, a big breakfast–lots of bagels and lots of oatmeal with lots of raisins, is best left unshaken for a good two hours. If you can’t wait that long, advises Carmichael, think about eating less. If you can’t wait that long, advises Geezer, think about getting up earlier and eating right away. And one more thing. If a question is hard to answer, is it a hard question or a hard answer? If you know the answer to that question, please tell Geezer in the comment form below.
