Gil “Rise” Thomas, a professional jump training specialist, says he can add ten to 12 inches to the vertical jumps of most people. In this article in Outside magazine, a 180-pound writer takes him up on the offer. Thomas’ first instruction: lose 25 pounds, and bring body-fat ratio down to ten percent. Then came the squats, lunges and hamstring curls. More pain, and enough gain to persuade the author that it was worth every minute.

I’m 5’61/2″ and I can dunk on a 91/2 rim with a soccerball. I owe it all to jumpsoles and lifting weights
jumping higher is hard but it can be done. You got to exercise your calf muscles and quads, there are actually exercises on how to jump higher that will raise your vertical jump.
Like you can do walking or running on your tip toes, and walk backwards on your tip toes also. This works out the right vertical jump muscles.
im 5’8″ and can almost dunk i want to know wut i can do to jump higher
All of these stuff sounds like lies and sorry but keep it real. I’m 6 foot 3 I could dunk yeah, but i can’t do a windmill yet because i need to work on my jumping. But I’m only 16 now. But what I’m really struggling to do is a two hand dunk.
My head can touch the net thats about how high I could jump right now.
What should I do.
