Can You Get a Cold From Getting Cold?

Were our mothers right? Can you get a cold from being cold? The Times asks the question, but the answer comes from Family Journal, which is published by Oxford University Press. The Journal reports on a study conducted at Cardiff University’s Common Cold Centre that took 180 healthy people and subjected half of them to a "foot chill," twice a day. The researchers found that after four days, 29 percent of the chillled group reported suffering from a cold, compared with only 10 percent of the control group. So: Can you catch a cold from being cold? Geezer would prefer to see a tad more research, but for the time being, it looks like that might be the case.
