What Women Over 50 Don’t Want: Their Bodies
Science may have yet to determine what exactly, women want, but researchers at the Center for Excellence for Eating Disorders at the University of North Carolina believe they know what women over 50 don’t want: their bodies. HealthDay reports that the researchers, who surveyed 1,700 women over age 50, found that only 12 percent said they were satisfied with their size and shape. The unsurprising news? When the researchers investigated what, if anything, the women who were satisfied with their bodies had in common, they found two things. First, 88 percent of the satisfied group were in the normal weight range, and second, most of the satisfied women worked hard to stay slim, exercising an average of five hours a week, or about two more hours than women who said they disliked their figures. End of story.
